UX Design | Redesigning Intuitive Interface for AI Management

 

Project Goal

The goal of this challenge was to redesign the ‘Blog Post’ and ‘AI Control’ pages of this product tailored for digital marketers to share marketing-related insights with their audience. The redesign focused on optimising the ‘Blog Post’ page to improve content management and ensure marketers could easily engage their audience with AI-generated posts. For the ‘AI Control’ page, the objective was to simplify the process of managing AI features, empowering users to customise and refine generated content effectively. By enhancing usability and user engagement, the project aimed to create a seamless experience for digital marketers to deliver impactful content to their audience.

For this challenge, I chose to utilise these UX methods to deeply understand user needs, behaviours, and pain points.

By conducting an app analysis, I identified strengths and weaknesses in the existing design, which provided a foundation for improvement. As this is a B2B2C product, empathy mapping allowed me to visualise the thoughts, feelings, and goals of mainly B2B and also B2C users, ensuring that the design addressed their unique needs and requirements. Using a POV statement, I defined the core problem from the user's perspective, which guided my solutions and design decisions.

These methodologies helped me create a user-centred solution that aligns with the platform's objectives, improving usability, engagement, and overall user satisfaction.

This approach helped me structure my understanding of potential user pain points, motivations, and behaviours in a clear and organised manner. By exploring what users might say, think, do, and feel, I was able to create a user-centred framework that informed my design decisions and ensured the proposed solution addressed user challenges effectively. This process also helped me maintain a strong focus on empathy and usability throughout the challenge.

Users - B2C

As this is a B2B2C product, I also considered and referred to B2C users to address the problem effectively. To gain deeper insights, I created an empathy map for B2C users, focusing on their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours when engaging with AI-generated blog content.

This process helped me uncover their key pain points, such as the need for trustworthy and engaging content, and their motivations, including leveraging actionable insights to start a new business. By integrating these findings, I ensured the product not only meets the needs of businesses but also delivers meaningful value to end consumers, creating a comprehensive solution for both user groups.

Idea Brainstorming

To enhance the user experience and achieve the platform's goals, I conducted an in-depth brainstorming session to identify key improvements for the blog post page. My ideas focused on improving navigation, enhancing readability and accessibility, and empowering users to manage blog content and the AI feature efficiently.

These ideas were aimed at simplifying the user journey, reducing cognitive load, and improving user engagement with the platform. By implementing these features and designs, the blog post page becomes a more intuitive and effective tool, ultimately boosting the users' online marketing performance.

User Scenario

  1. The user receives a notification about a new auto-generated blog post and clicks it to go to the dashboard.

  2. The user views the generated posts list and selects a specific post to review.

  3. The user reviews the content, makes necessary edits, and previews how it will appear on desktop and mobile.

  4. The user navigates to the AI Control tab to customise upload settings

  5. The user saves the settings, and the post is either scheduled or published immediately based on their preferences.

 

User Flow

To optimise the user experience and align with the goals of the platform, I designed a comprehensive user flow for managing AI-generated blog posts. This flow was tailored to ensure that users can easily navigate through the process of reviewing, editing, and publishing content while offering flexibility for advanced settings.

The user flow is designed to balance simplicity and flexibility, catering to both basic and advanced user needs. By creating intuitive pathways and ensuring clear feedback at every stage, the flow empowers users to manage their blog posts with ease and efficiency, ultimately enhancing their overall experience with the platform.

The completed design of the blog post page is built on a deep understanding of user needs and behaviors. On this page, users can easily access clear information and view newly generated blog posts at a glance. To enhance usability and actively incorporate the AI feature, I included filter chips and hashtags, allowing users to quickly organize and find relevant posts. These elements also serve as subtle reminders that the primary goal of the blog posts is to boost online marketing performance.

Users can effortlessly review and edit the content as needed, ensuring the posts align with their brand and audience expectations. Additionally, the design enables users to adjust posting schedules flexibly, accommodating their unique situations and strategic objectives. This thoughtful design approach streamlines workflows, making it easier for users to manage AI-generated content and achieve their marketing goals effectively.
